Repair of ' Top Knot ' on California Quail

New top knot carved and reattached.

To repair this bird required the removal of broken knot, carving and burning of feathers into new knot. The new knot was glued in position and with touch-up paint, the repair was complete.

Wood is carved to original size and painted.

Happy to repair broken tail. The owner of these birds asked me to fix broken feet and this tail. Job turned out well and birds are now on display in their home.
